June 24, 2025 – Tool Updates

Updates have been made to the Provider Discovery Review Administrative, Qualified Organization (“QO”) Administrative & CDC Representative Tool. These updated tools are now posted.

Please see below for changes.

PDR Administrative Tool

General Administrative

  • Background Screening Standard 1 (Roster)
    • “Employee/Contractor Roster within the Department of Children and Families/Agency for Persons with Disabilities Background Screening Clearinghouse” has been replaced with “Agency for Health Care Administration Background Screening Clearinghouse Results Website”
    • One new Not Met reason added
    • Minor protocol changes

Qualifications and Training

  • Background Screening Standard 1
    • 7 Not Met reasons deleted related to the Affidavit of Good Moral Character
    • Protocol updated to reflect related changes
  • Background Screening Standard 2 (Roster)
    • “The employment status of the provider/employee is maintained on the Employee/Contractor Roster within the Department of Children and Families/Agency for Persons with Disabilities Background Screening Clearinghouse” and been replaced with “The employment status of the provider/employee is maintained on the APD Employee/Contractor Roster within the Agency for Health Care Administration Background Screening Clearinghouse Results Website”.
  • Training
    • Standard 3: Minor protocol updates only reflecting discontinuation of APD authorized trainers
    • Standard 4: Minor protocol updates only reflecting discontinuation of APD authorized trainers
    • Standard 5: Three new Not Met reasons added related to Train Florida. Protocol updated to reflect that change plus the update to acceptable training in Requirement for All Waiver Providers.
    • Standard 6: One Not Met reason deleted and minor protocol changes
    • Standard 9: Three Not Met reasons deleted and minor protocol changes
    • Standard 28 (LSD2 pre-service): Five Not Met reasons deleted, three added or modified. Protocol changes related to discontinuation of APD authorized trainers and transition into Train Florida
    • Standard 49 (Supported Living Coaching pre-service): Five Not Met reasons deleted, two Train Florida related reasons added. Protocol changes related to discontinuation of APD authorized trainers and transition into Train Florida
    • Standard 50 (Social Security Work Incentives): Four Not Met reasons deleted, two Train Florida related reasons added. Protocol changes related to discontinuation of APD authorized trainers and transition into Train Florida

 

PDR QO Administrative Tool

  • Standard 8: One Not Met reasons deleted. One Not Met reason added. Related protocol updates.
  • Standard 9: Standard text modified. Not Met reasons and protocol updated accordingly.

 

To ensure you have the most current version, the footer of each Discovery Tool will reflect the date. For example, the 2025_0701 indicates it is the July 2025 version.

Please discard earlier versions of the applicable tool with footer dates prior to July 2025. Please review each Discovery Tool in its entirety for services rendered for standards, protocols, and Not Met reasons.
